Pure Heart
I read the following words in Psalm 24 today:
Who may ascend the hill of the LORD ? Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false.
Something that I'm becoming very conscious of this year is that God looks into our heart. He can see what is going on inside us. Now that can be a bit scary. We can either run away from God or we can cry out to God to cleanse us of our sin and give us a pure heart. In Psalm 51 David prayed "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me."
Let us too like David cry out to God for a pure heart.
